I am preparing to travel to Southeastern Asia. I am interested in everything that may help to protect from mosquitoes. I mean those who can transmit malaria. I started using some preventing drugs, but it is more important to keep mosquitoes away from me. I heard about permethrine. Did anyone use it in malaria regions?

Permethrin is very effective repellent. Its usage is common in malaria regions. You should treat your clothes with permethrine. There is long lasting solution, it can protect you even after 6 washings.
Treat your bed net with permethrin, because malaric mosquitoes feed at night. It is odorless and nontoxic for humans. Have a nice trip.
