I seem to have persistent water infections and don't know why? I get them a few times a year and my symptoms are:

1. Needing to urinate all the time, sometimes desperately, like you will wet yourself if you don't and when you attempt to go hardly anything comes out and really hurts
2. Urine has a strange smell
3. Pain in lower stomach

I'm just worried that there may be an underlying cause for keep getting them, maybe something serious like my kidneys? :|

To help avoid infections

Drink lots of water
Wear cotton underwear. Not thongs
Shower. Not bath.
Dont use any kind of soap in the area.
Go the toilet before an after sex
Avoid acidy drinks EG orange juice
Drink cranberry juice.
Dont use tampons!!!!

My daughter gets alot of infections. I thought they could be related to her periods. But the specialise didnt.

I still thing it is!!!

She has got a kidney problem tho.
