HI there, photosensitivity after surgery should not be permanent since you've just had the surgery. How long ago did you undergo the surgery? Can you let me know how you're doing now?

Hi there,
When did you have the surgery? Can you tell me ore about your cataract? I know that this can happen to people who had very problematic cataract issue and the surgery was not simple. Have you had any problems during the surgery? If you talked to your doctor he should’ve warned you about possible side effects of cataract surgery. You have to understand that in most cases this is just a temporary thing and it will pass after several days. It is important to wear glasses all the time that doctor gave you. Do you have any pain in the eyes or in your head after the procedure?

All the best,
Danella

I realize this is an older post, but am curious as to how this sensitivity has worked out for you. I am having extreme light sensitivity as well. Wear sunglasses (sometimes two pairs) all the time -- indoors and out. Surgery on second eye was 9 weeks ago, no improvement. What worked (and I hope something did) for you?

Are you feeling any better? My grandmother had a 3hours surgery for catarract removal 6 months ago and photosensitivity still exixts even when watching tv. Cortizone drops don't improve the condition considerably.
