I had ct scan on both thorax and abdomen abt 5 months ago.it was diagnosed as pleural effusion due to extra pulmonary TB. so aftr the completion of AKT ,doctor has asked me to do a ct next month.is it safe or does it have any adverse effects. ( i am 24yr old girl).

With any procedure there are risks, in this case radiation exposure. However, you must weigh the benefits. Without this exam the doctors won't be able to confirm that the treatment has been successful and you'd risk spreading the infection.
