Hello shar,
Electromyogram (EMG) and nerve conduction studies (NCV) could help in determining if your pain is caused by damage to the nerves, or if it's the bone damage or the implant itself what is causing your pain now. It's practically one of the ways to eliminate possible causes for the pain and to give your doctors a better idea what's going on so you could get a better treatment. It's true that physical activity would help somewhat, but at this point you really first need to address the pain and what's causing it,
Wish you all the best,
Nicole
