I'm a 25 year old of 5 year old twins and had scoliosis surgery at age 13. Everything seemed fine until I turned 18 and started experiencing bad pain I was told this is normal sometimes you get pain. Bs. After I had my kids the pain was from my lower skull to my knees. I was put on pain meds and had an MRI to find my spine had weakened because when they stick 2 rods in your Back the rest of your spine becomes unstable and I developed 4 herniations below degenerative disc disease spinal stenosis spondylolysis spondylolisthesis and in my neck 2 herniations and straightening of my cervical bone to my neck. I'm now facing an option of being on bed rest and not walking for a long time from another surgery and not enjoy playing with my kids or suffer in pain this surgery should be taken away

I had this surgery in 1999 and experience this exact same pain. What you need to do is get physical therapy to strengthen the muscles in your back a long your spine. Strong muscles keep it from hurting.

Your husband sounds terrific! What a MAN!

Hi, so sorry to read about your pain and issues. Have you found an answer yet? I just joined this site. Hope the MJ is still helping, have you ever had toradol injections? They work extremely well for some, me included. I wish you could see my doc, he's friggin brilliant with a great bedside manner. He helped me tremendously.
Best, Indi
