Hi, what is the chance for home pregnancy test to fail and show negative even if it is positive?

Hi, certainly it can happen. These tests are made to react to presence of hormones in urine, if the level of hormones is not high enough it is very likely that a test will show negative. Some women experience negative home pregnancy test even when they are in last months of pregnancy. It is not rare case that woman is not aware she id pregnant for a few months, because she has her period regularly and no stomach. You need to do blood test and visit gynecologist to make sure if you are pregnant or not.

My mum never showed on home tests, whenever she took one they would come back negative, even at six months pregnant, does this mean i could be like her?
