I am 32 weeks pregnant and have hydronephrosis. I have this same pain. I had to have a stent put into my ureter due to it being kinked. it's rare, but does happen in pregnancy. I would go to the doctor and get it checked so you don't get kidney damage is that is the case

Have been cramping severely for 4 days but very minimal brownish discharge. Dr yesterday said 95% its a non-viable or chemical pregnancy even though my numbers keep going up.  I am scheduled for my 3rd sono in 2 weeks to see if they find anything. For the last 2 there has been no sight of a pregnancy inutero or tubal so they are confused. Numbers climbing but I am nearing 6 weeks and still no morning sickness, just fatigue.  They put me on vicodin and motrin 800 to deal with the pains in the mean time.  After 6 years of trying we finally get a positive read and it's been a horribly bumpy ride since the positve HPT.  Anyone else experience severe pains on the mid to mid-left side of the abdomen and into the upper left thigh?  I am also on prometrium if that adds to it.  Thanks SuzieQ

This happened to me back in February. I was about 6 weeks pregnant and woke up with severe bleeding. The ER told me I lost it but the next day my levels kept rising. I had atleast 10 sonograms before the decided it was ectopic and I had to terminate the pregnancy. I hope your experience is better. I'm pregnant again. The baby is due the same day we had to terminate the first pregnancy. I'm 17 weeks and having trouble. Ive been on bed rest a ninth with severe pain and bleeding. They still aren't sure what is causing it.

It could be too early to tell yet. The first scan I went to, they couldn't even find a sac. Two weeks later, and there was a sac with a baby and a heartbeat. Breathe. It could very well be too early.

it is the stretching of the uterus to give space for the development of the baby but all the same you need to see your doctor. Maria

This is tough one because im 15 weeks and ill get sharp pain but it's my ligaments and it goes away. Hurts more when i move or have to pee. It could be stretching uterus and ligaments but if it's constant and excruciating then definitely go to er right away. I would still call your doctor though and see what they say, thry may want to see u right away. Have u not been to the doctor at all yet this pregnancy? If not u should def call doctor and make appointment asap and if pain is constant and severe then go hospital right away, if only hurts moving around then probably just ligaments and uterus stretching but still need call Doctor asap, that's my advice anyways! Good luck!!

I understand what you are saying Smile, but I wouldn't have seen your lovely post if I hadn't googled what I am experiencing now :). I had a ruptured ectopic pregnancy and had to have emergency surgery and right tube removed on the 26th of Feb, 2013. My bleeding stopped that same day of surgery and returned 3 days later on the 1st of March lasting 3 days only. The nurse at my Obgyn's office said it was my period and was normal to show up soon after and EP surgery. I was given a green light to resume all activities at 2 weeks post surgery.Well I started feeling a left sided abdominal pain 3 nights ago on 3/17/2013 that has gone on until now 3/20/2013. Nothing severe...feels more like gas pain or pulling pain when I'm laying down or sitting. Also starded seeing brownish discharge since last night that has remained light and only when I wipe. To say I am not concerned would be a big fat lie because as calm as I try to be, I get my ordeal of the past 3 weeks played back in my head and I don't ever want to experience that awfulness again. Called the dr.'s office and nurse says could be my period which makes me wonder because that would mean me having 2 periods in less that 20 days. She says my body is trying to adjust to all the hormones from my recent events. My only wonder now is if this is actually implantation pain and implantation bleeding...will monitor myself and pray for the better outcome. Definitely reading these posts have made me feel better and hopeful that it may be nothing major. I need to take a deep breath and relax. Will update soon as I find out anything...baby dust to me! And you all hopefuls of course!

Hmmm...sounds like what I had when I had ruptured right ectopic...pain migrated to the thigh and was severe. Had brown discharge that later turned to bleeding and then the blood got darker... Got to a point I couldn't walk and had to go tothe ER...long story short, found out it was EP and had to have emergency surgery. Hope for you evertthing turned out fine eventually...If I had seen this post sooner, I would have suggested a second opinion instead of waiting 2 wks for a third sono. Thanks for sharing though

U can certainly have red/brown blood and still have a healthy pregnancy. I have a subchorionic hematoma at 9 weeks I'm now 12! Carmping, now only lightly bleeding, and have small clots. So people should ask their doctor rather than read comments that may stress you out!!
