Hi, I'm a 16 year old male. Since just recently, I haven't been able to get a full erection, just semi-erections. I've tried mental imagery, porn, and masturbation. With mental imagery, other thoughts cloud my mind, making it nearly impossible to focus. Porn doesn't "get a rise out of me" anymore, and even if it does, it's only a semi. I seem to get an itchy feeling inside my penis, somewhere near the base, which makes it near impossible to not masturbate, but it only happens when i think of or see something arousing, and masturbation doesn't help it go away, only relaxing does. I really don't know why this is going on, any advice? also, I don't know if this info helps determine the cause, but my diet is relatively normal (junk and homemade food as well as some fruits), I'm not athletic or active (I'm usually just home on the computer or watching TV if I'm not at school), i don't get much sleep (5-7 hours) because I'm usually up doing homework that i didn't finish or was too lazy to do earlier or just can't sleep, I'm stressed out with all the pressures and decisions about college and tests and things to come, and my long distance girlfriend is grounded at the moment so I can't talk to her let alone see her and that has me stressed out too. This may be obvious to why I have erectile problems, but I just want to know if any of this factors into it, and what I can do to return to strong, random, and (hopefully) morning erections.

@bambi27 Thanks, I wanted to know what specifically caused it, but it seems like all of it played a part I guess. Lol, here I was getting scared thinking that i was gonna live like this for the rest of my life or something. well, I'll try getting a part-time job, and hopefully do more things to get me more active, and I'll work on my self-control, my sexual imagery control, and stopped watching porn and such. Idk what to do about my loneliness though...any advice for that and some stress-relief things that I can do without having to buy anything?

Relaxation is ALL about getting the "Stuff" out of your mind! Swimming is an EXCELLENT one! But the BEST is to learn how to breathe! I know that sounds silly, but we are ALL SO STRESSED that we forget to breathe correctly! You need to be in a quiet place, and either concentrate on something - like a chair or a painting etc. And just keep staring at it and breathing deeply! IF something comes into you mind, refocus! It takes some work but it WORKS! This is what is used for women in labor! To focus on their breathing and nothing else!

@bambi27 Lol, i wish i knew how to swim, had anywhere nearby to learn it, or had anyone to teach me at the moment. I guess I'll tackle that once i have one of those at hand to help me. I'll also try that breathing exercise you mentioned. To be honest, I guess I over think things too much instead of just relaxing and finding something constructive to do. I'd like to focus on all of the these and slow down all these racing thoughts, doubts, and etc before i return to masturbating at all, because then i can fully enjoy it. Also, You're right about porn and things like that, because before I dove into the world of porn and pornographic material, I used to enjoy pictures of women as well as the ones around me, as well as imagining them naked to work my imagination. It was fun, and after this, i hope to return to that without the artificial depictions that porn provides.
