My daughter (who had always had normal periods) recently started taking Progon B and Isocort (started in December). This was her first year away to college and she was having a hard time sleeping and handling stress. For the last 5 years she has steadily gained weight. She is 5'2" and weighs 210 pounds. She is a very active 19 year old and has a very difficult time losing weight. The Nauturopath started her on the supplements after doing blood test that he said showed that she had low levels of estrogen and high levels of testerone. Also her cortisol levels were very very low and her tyhroid was within the normal range but he said it maybe low for her. At that time he started her on Armour. She immediately lost 5 pounds but then gained about 8 pounds. She had one very light period but hasn't had one since (it is now July). Because of this she has refused to take any of the supplements. She feels that they have messed up her periods and caused her to gain more weight. However she did sleep better and didn't get so weepy and grumpy while she was taking the supplements. She is now back to getting angry and crying when she gets stressed. She hasn't taken any of the supplements since the first of May. Has anyone else had their periods stop after taking any of these supplements? Should she go back to the Naturopath and/or continue taking the supplements. She is really freaked out about the no periods and is concerned this may be permanent. We aren't sure what kind of a doctor to see our family doctor isn't very sympathetic. Her answer is "eat less and exercise more" Hard to do for a 19 year old who all during high school was very active (marching band, volleyball, softball, swimming, and water polo). Any advice?

Sounds like she is strogen dominate. Would look at copper levels from a hair analysis and see if she has high calcium, and low sodium - potaassium ratios.
Look at copper / adrenal detox rebuild. It takes time.
Best of luck
