3 years ago I started having almost butterfly-like symptoms in my chest or I described it like a weird heaviness in my chest area upon walking up an incline. I was admitted to hospital overnight and they did blood and monitor at 10 minute interval and gave me the all clear. Then it stopped. These episodes were infrequent. I began getting excruciating pain between thumb and fore finger on right hand which was diagnosed as a case of tendonitis in September. I traveled to India, UK and Greece for 3 weeks and no problem. As soon as I returned to the USA, the chest discomfort began again. Recently, they begin to occur sometimes upon lying down on exercising I would begin to feel the chest discomfort and a bit of fatigue. I began to get pain at the top of my right foot that would be quite painful walking and then would suddenly disappear with rest. After Thanksgiving, and after having sex with husband, I began having pain all over my body beginning with pain in right hand, moving to left hand and skipping to upper left chest to neck to left jaw and kind of sharp in pain in the head centering at the to back of head. Emergency room doctors did EKG said am not getting a heart attack. Went to my doctor the next day, they think I may have had a heart attack. Scheduled for angiography. Waiting on insurance approval. Am still not sure though. Scared and nervous I am. I am quite stressed though. My husband shouts when he speaks to me and that stresses me out. I am an empowered woman - but his rants makes me get butterflies in my chest. So am wondering if all of these could be stress related, including stress on the heart.

I also get the same thing you are describing. Spontaneous rapid heartbeat with an occasional headache that only lasts for the time of the increased heart rate. Usually it's a deep breathe like a "Yawn" or a quick "Sniff" when it starts. And it either just goes away or I have to lay down and take deep breathes
