Sometimes, for no apparent reason whatsoever, my foreskin goes a bit red, sore, slightly swollen and tight. I may also get a small, red area on the glans (location varies).
I'm very clean in that area (I don't use any soap to clean it, just tepid water).
It doesn't seem to matter what I do (or what I don't do) as it just flares up from time to time. However, it's doing it with increasing regularity of late (perhaps once every two weeks).
I haven't even indulged in any sex for a while so it can't be that, and only masturbate occasionally.
I use Clotrimazole when the problem flares up - not sure if this is directly helping or is simply soothing the issue until it calms down on its own. The problem then abates after 2 or 3 days.
It's very puzzling as to the cause. Any ideas please?
