I have done quite a bit of reading ont hese forums and others relating to my issue, and although most say 'dont worry about it' none have been conclusive enough to ease my worrying. I should probably go see a doctor to put my midn at ease, however without med insurance that will have to wait.
on to the details:
I am a 25 yr old male who is sexually active and healthy without any serious medical issues. I work at an office on a computer for the majority of the day, and am on my computer at home quite a bit. I recently(about a month ago) started noticing that my right testicle will rise to the point of actually ascending into my body, while the left remains in the scrotum. Initially during a period without sexual activity i notice the rising occur after or during masturbation, and after a while it began to occur when sitting at my desk. I also began to notice a dull or even buzzing sensation in the ascendign testicle even when in scrotum, it feels similar to a muscle spazm. I did some research and had kind of assuemed a varicocele, and the advice i read was to switch to briefs for more support. this completely alleviated the issue for about 2 weeks. Now the issue has come back and is more prevalent. Once i became sexually active again, it is more noticible after sex, or masturbation, or when sitting at my desk. There si no noticible pain, or lumps it is just very uncomfortable. I'm hoping someone has experienced this or has some insight into what could be the cause. Could this possibly be a STD or cancer? Is there anythign i can do to alleviate the discomfort? any advice is much appreciated!!!

I too suffer from a similar problem and I think it is an overactive Cremasteric reflex, which can be stimulated by stroking the inside of the thigh. I don't think it's cause for concern, but I am going to a urologist for some proper advice as it is an annoying discomfort. Hope this is of some help.

I also have the similar problem and visited urologist, and got the Ultrasound done. The doctor said, Ultrasound reports are normal and I should not worry.
But I still have the same problem.

I have the exact same problem, i'm 23 and maybe a month ago my right testicle started raising up into my groin when i'm very aroused...or almost at orgasm.
I have been really worried because in my 23 years of living, this has never occurred, and suddenly it's been happening....Also my scrotum seems tighter all the time, similar to when you're aroused and your ball sack tightens...I have a similar issue and I have yet to see a doctor...overall i'm pretty worried about it, eventhough i've also been told I shouldn't worry.
By the way, my testicles do raise alot when the inside of my thigh is tickled........

I have long had the rising testicle and thought it normal. I have 5 kids (2 boys) so no affect there. Age 45.
But I have now started feeling this pager vibration type buzzing in my right testicle. At first it was for 1 second and 10 seconds appart, but once in a while It would be strong enough for me to think my pager was going off.
I use a T-mobile black and white black berry for my work and kept it in my right pocket and thought it may have been related.
I will be setting up an appointment for tomorrow, but just thought I would share (it is anoiying.) Keep your phones and pagers away from your pockets just in case.

I have also been facing the same problem. My right testicle has this buzzing feeling that arrives unwarned. However, i usually feel it after masturbation, or after urinating. There is no pain, just buzzing.
I have a job where I sit on the computer almost all day. I usually ride a bike most of the times. I am 28 yrs old. I have started getting this buzz only since a few weeks now. I keep my mobile phone in the pocket. Just trying to mention my habits and schedule so we could draw something in common here that is leading to this buzzing problem. Wonder what is causing it. It is irritating, and sometimes makes me fear as to why it is happening.
In case anyone finds out the reason, plz do post it here.

I just googled "rising testicles" and this forum was the first thing on the list. After reading all the posts I can say that I fall right in line with everyone else having the same reactions and feelings occuring within my body. The right testicle rises significantly during masturbation snd I actually find myself pushing it back down...same can sometimes be said for the left side. I am 28 yrs old, no kids, always worn briefs and I am a long-haul truck driver which means many hours sitting which would be similar to many hours sitting behind a desk...just wonder if prolonged periods of sitting spread over many years might have something to do with it all.

Hi all,
Within the last few days, I too have noticed a strange buzzing sensation down there. Mine's in the left part of my scrotum. It's quite rhythmic: I get about two seconds or so of buzz, which (as someone said) feels a lot like a vary faint fluttering muscle spasm (like you sometimes get in your eyelid), followed by a pause of about the same length.
I hadn't really noticed the rising testicle until today. It's only slightly higher than the other side so it doesn't seem that unusual, but it does seem higher.
Like others, I sit around a fair bit: I'm a teacher, so I'm mobile most of the day but spend a lot of my evenings and weekends sitting at a desk or a computer workstation.
I'm a bit wary of going to the doc. I'm a very healthy 46 year old and have only visited my doctor maybe 4 or 5 times since I moved here in 1985 - but the last time was when I 'self-examined' my testicles after seing a TV programme about men's health and found what I thought was a lump. I swallowed my pride and suffered the indignity of having to bare all and be felt only to be told that what I could feel was perfectly normal. I don't fancy a second such experience!
If anyone finds that this is an issue that needs treatment, I'd be interested:

I have also had these same buzzing sensations, although in my case it is not associated with rising testicles. It happens primary sitting at my computer for long periods of time. I have read that people who carry a cell phone on their belt or in their pocket begin to percieve phantom vibrations from it but that definitely is not what I am feeling. It is painless, primarily on the right side and lasts for 2-5 seconds. At this point it is just annoying but I wish I knew what it was.

I too get this problem. Right one pops up into my body, mostly after sex. I visited my doctor and he said it was perfectly normal and there was nothing that could be done.

I am having this exact same feeling for the last 4 days. I would say every 2 mins or so I get this very aggravating buzzing/vibration in my scrodum. Also, my right testicle is slightly higher than my left.
I saw a doctor at a local hospital and they didn't know how to diagnose the problem. They asked me to give a urine analysis and perscribed me to anti-biotics in the meantime. I have a follow up soon but I am afraid they will not be able to solve this problem.
Has this lasted with anyone for longer than a week?

Is anyone on this page coming off of the anti-depressant effexor by any chance? I am, and my tezzers are tigling.
I just tried cooling them with a fan and they stopped for a bit. Maybe the effexor is making them swell or something.
This is not good news

I too have these so called buzzing sensations, i'm 15 btw. At first I thought it was a normal muscle spasm, then I thought it was the testicles ajusting to the temperature or something (I heard the testes have to be a certain temp in order to make sperm 8-| ). Anyway, I guess its nothing to be alarmed about, though I might ask my doctor about it next time I see him.

I also get the rising nut. It is only during masterbaition. however I had not had sex since this started happening. there is no buzzing or vibrations, just the fact that it will rise and almost disappear resulting in me "guiding" it back to position. (unless i hold it.) it is very uncomfortable and if anybody finds out anything please post it.
