I had open surgery for bilateral inguinal hernia using the desarda repair method 11 days back.  Since then most of the regular problems of the surgery are gone now, however I have this odd problem that is lingering on. I have pain in my left testicles (seems the lower side) when I bend by about 30 degrees and it also gradually creeps slowly when I am sitting in a cross legged position. In this sitting position after that dull pain starts slowly any movement that I do esp. backwards or I even touch it it hurts like hell. Otherwise sitting on a chair and lying down there is no pain.

Anyone know what this is? I am waiting for the surgeon who did the desarda repair to return from his vacation after 2 more weeks.

I am 37 years old. There does not seem to be any problems at masturbation or ejaculation. My surgeon did say that he did do a extra work while repairing the hernia on the left side because my anterior muscle there was much weaker so there are more internal sutures there inside.

I also have slight pain while lifting up my left leg onto a high bed.

Hi. I know this is an old post. I have the same problem 2 weeks after Desarda hernia repair. Testicles were fine until yesterday when I took a long walk, came back home, took 800 mg ibuprofen, and iced the area before going to sleep. That's when the pain started mildly. It is not a constant pain..more like a jab of pain every 30 seconds or so. Not really bad but unsettling. I was wondering if your pain went away or what did the doctor say. I had my surgery performed in Ft Myers Florida.
