I have noticed in the past couple of days a twitch in my testicle. It doesnt hurt but it does it for long periods of time. I havent had any injuries and I was wondering if anyone knew what might cause this?

Hi there! Do you go in for any sports? I workout and the first time I experienced the twitching it was at the gym. I had these contractions for like a week when I called doctor’s office. They explained that this was probably a muscle reaction to stretching or something and that I should see him if this persisted or became painful. It’s been three weeks now and I only get occasional twitch but that’s it, so I won’t bother unless it becomes too annoying.

I started working out allot more often then noticed this weird twitching in my right testicle. I told my doctor about it. But she was female and thought it was an STD . But that wasn't possible cuz I have been in the service for years. Anywho, glad to hear these replies. Now it makes sense. Mine have been on going for the past couple months.

Hi,
From what i have read, twitching is caused by muscle pulls or the body reacting to stress and anxiety.
I have been having nerves inside my right testicle twitching on and off for a week now, and its more pronounced after a stressful day when am resting.
Anyhow, glad to hear your replies :-)

Testicles produce testosterone and react to anything that affect hormone release -- such as excercise. It cannot react to "stretching". Twitching is a reaction to the hormone response. Factors may include: excercise, frequency of sex/masturbation and ejaculation -- all these factors affect hormone response. I personally belive it's a low-hormone response -- twitching being an indication that testosterone production is being triggerred, but I could be wrong.

ok, my testes twitch from time to time and mine vary as of time period wise; it could twitch for only short times then it can also twitch for lengthy times. I don't really exercise but I do ejaculate & have sex often. I'm not a very big fellow, I'm rather skinny. So my question is, why are my testes twitching (what am I doing that triggers it) & is there a way to stop them from twitching. Also, is it a good thing that they do twitch or is it a bad thing? Please someone get ahold of me, you can reach me on my email ***

i just started having a testicle twitch about a month ago when i exhale...i wasn't quite sure for awhile if it was my testicle or my groin, but tonight i pulled them out of my underwear while lying down and let the elastic band hold them out and when i exhale the twitch is definitely in my right testicle. maybe 'twitch' isn't the right word because it isn't quick like a twitch. it's a slower kind of moving around, but the testicle moves considerably and is definitely not normal.....i read about varioceles and my symptom is not mentioned anywhere....it also isn't mentioned in reference to an inguinal hernia or epididymitis....i'm a 28 year old student and have no health insurance, so i will gladly put this off if it's nothing. is it nothing? i will gladly attribute this to stress and work on some stress relief.
