First off, some background information: I'm in my late-30's, virgin (by choice), doesn't masturbate but watches pornography quite often. When in my early teens, I simultaneously had hernia surgery (located in my scrotum on the right side) and a surgery for a varicocele (located right above my left testicle).

With that said, I have always had problems with my testicles. They have hung very low since my teens (my doctor says that the hang lower than other guys'), but he said that there is no reason for concern. However as of late I have been experiencing pain in the testicle while sitting down, because that testicle hangs lowest and is the first thing to touch the surface that I'm sitting on. It's to the point that it's sore now even when I"m not sitting down.

Another problem with that testicle (and it scares me), is that I have discovered a lump behind it, located in the center. I see it poking through the scrotum, right beneath two veins (or cords) that come down towards it. Sometimes it feels sharp, other times squishy, and sometimes sore to the touch. The only way that I can see it is by standing with my back to a mirror and bending over.  I've had it for at least a year or two and I"m sure that my doctor has seen it (it makes my scrotum stick out to a point in the back). But it didn't give me any problems until now.

EXCEPT when I"m sexually excited. As I said, I watch pornography, but I don't masturbate. That thing in the back becomes hard and very painful. As a matter of fact, my testicles go crazy often in regards to sexual stimulation. There is lump that pops up near my right testicle on a regular basis, and my doctor said that its an inflamed epidermis (from blue balls).  My testicles get huge, and are uncomfortable most of the time.

Any idea what's going on? Is that lump sticking out of the back of my testicle supposed to be there? Do you think it gets sore because I keep sitting on the testicle, or is it because of my lack of getting "relief" (other than nocturnal emissions)?
