I have had scoliosis for a while now. I expected that sooner or later the doctor will tell me that I would need surgery. He wasn’t one to rush into it, but my curves just got bad, so now I have to. We haven’t set the date for surgery jet, but I guess that it will be in next two months. I would like to hear from people who already had surgery of scoliosis. Basic stuff, how long I have to be in hospital, when I will be back in school…? Thanks for help!

I had surgery for my scoliosis about 6 months ago. I was in the hospital for a week. I started school after a month. In next couple of weeks in school I skipped the classes; I was there as much as I can stand. Mom told me that surgery lasted for 8 hours. I didn’t have any preparation before the surgery, although I did lot of swimming before. I wasn’t even on a diet.
