I'm 21 yrs old sexually active for 7 yrs and I have recently taken a few tests and only positive for genital warts, my doctor prescribed me Aldara which I used for about a month and all of a sudden my sac began to turn red and flaky and in a few days it looked like my hair follicles were yellowish and the skin around them extremely raw!! It was burning, itching to the point I couldn't sit right, couldn't walk right, couldn't even stand without holding my balls off my legs. I went the emergency clinic and a doctor told me it could be a yeast infection or herpes, she took some tests and wrote me a perscription for canestin. I stopped using the Aldara and used the canestin for two weeks and the rash had gone away; so I began using the Aldara again and within two weeks of using Aldara my sac broke out in the exact same rash. I'm an active guy runs, dirt-bikes, fishes, gym on the regular bases. I just want some ideas of what it could be because I would really like to get back to my normal life style, with NO scrotum pain!!! also the doctor had never phoned me back to tell me the results of my tests she took so I would like and idea ASAP!!

Get back onto your doctor - but I'm sure if it was urgent he/she would've contacted you.

I'm so sorry about your discomfort. Your first step would be to get the test results back so that you can find a proper treatment that may not cause bad side effects. However, if you are positive for herpes, could your symptoms be herpes symptoms with frequent break-outs? That's why you've got to get the facts. Call the office to get your results. The treatment that you're getting may not be correct if your diagnosis has not been confirmed. It seems as though there are new and more effective treatments for herpes, if that's the problem. Get your results and go from there. Stress your level of discomfort to the doctor so that you will get what you need in a timely manner. Let us know how you are doing. I hope this helps.

Well the medications that you are using is not affecting you in a positive way. You should not lose any time, and you need to get you test results as soon as possible. Maybe you have an allergic reaction to medication. It does not matter if your results are urgent or not she should of called you. This is something that you need to know. I hope that you will be ok and that you problem will go away.

I really hope that you are out of pain by now because you went to the doctor and got a diagnosis and treatment....Right? I can't imagine that you are still in the kind of agony that you were in before. What did you find out. Was your problem something simple or something that will require continued investigation. It's got to be awful to be in pain when you are so active. Please let me know that things are improving. If it's not so simple, is there any further support or advice that I can offer? I hope all is well now. Please let me know.

I had the same thing. I had a special cream left over from a different rash, but my dermatologist told me to use it as well. Its called Triamcinolone Acetonide Cream (0.1%), and works wonders. Its not an overnight cure, but definitely sped up the healing process. A little bit goes a long way too, which is nice.

I got painless scrotal infection after using public bath. What is the treatment for isospora oocysts? It was detected by urine and stool analysis.
