I was curious if there was anyone out there that has tried tretinoin gel/cream(Retin-A,Stieva-A) at all with any success on diminishing these or completly removing them?I have them on my shaft also and at the trunk of my penis.This sh*t is seriously driving me crazy and i need to find people that has tried this cream at all and if it helped.Im going to see my Doc this monday and speak more about this cream.Only thing i have to go by is stuff i found useing google and forums regarding this mattter.Please dont post any garbage like "oh its normal dont worry about it" i need real answers from people that actaully tried treating this useing this cream.

A few days ago i noticed a had a little pimple looking bump on my shaft of my penis. I popped it and white puss came out. The next day i woke up with a bigger pea size red pimple there underneath the skin. I tried putting acne medication on it but that didnt do anything. Its been very irratating and painful so I did a stupid thing and tried to cut it open and only blood came out and it got too painful so I gave up. Now the whole side of my penis is swollen up from it and the bump is like 2-3 peas in size. I have neosporin and a band aid on it for now and I have a doctor appt. schedule for friday. Anything to reduce the swelling anyone can think of?

Hi there, as best I can think you can do is put ice on it, which will at least help reduce the swelling. What did the doctor end up saying?

Here is my experience:
I am 24 and have had these as long as I can remember. I thought for the longest time it was just scar tissue... I used to have an ear cartilage piercing (removed for about 5 years) and the spot where it was fills with whitish puss that is more solid in consistency than zit puss. The cysts on my penis are similar in color and consistency and I thought they were both the same thing
Mine are very small, only visible when I have an erection, and seem to have a "path" to the surface of my skin - that is, I can usually squeeze below and have part of the cyst become visible, then I take a pair of tweezers and try and pull the whole thing out without breaking it off. I never experience any liquid discharge or anything though, they literally come out as a soft solid or something.
There is a larger one though, approximately the size and shape of 2-3 grains of uncooked rice which doesn't seem to have a clear path to the surface. I'm considering attempting to push it out (after I finish this post) and if that doesn't work, have it looked at at my next doctor's appoint.
To all you crazy kids out there, don't be scared to tell your parents or your doctor. They're not harmless and if you tell girls the same, they won't be scared of them either :-)

The doctor said it was an ingrown hair follicle and cut it open to see. It is basically a crater inside and its been a week and its still pretty decent sized and I don;t know what to put on it to decrease the size. i've tried neosporin, and acne spot treatment. Any ideas?

I had a small cyst removed from the under side of my penis close to wear the pubes grow. Dermatologist said it wasn't harmful and that I could either leave it or have it removed. I chose to have it removed because it looks bigger with an erection. Doc said it was really hard and decided not to stitch the area because an early morning erection and stitches isn't a good idea. The incision is very small. Probably the length of (i). Bleeding and swelling has gone done. Just keep changing the small spot bandaid every few hours with neosporin. So far, so good.

Just like the previous post, I just had a cyst removed from the underside of my penis also. I'd had it for years, but the problem was more cosmetic than anything else. It's been about an hour now, literally so it's pretty ugly. BUT... it'll be better than having the cyst in place. I actually wrote because I was looking for info on post-operation brusing. I'm totally bruised and swollen around the underside of my penis now. Of course, all the worst scenarios go through your head but I'm sure it's just normal. Also, I didn't get stitches either. Just need to change the bandage now and again.
Honestly... this was not a bad surgery. Took 10 minutes and then to see the cyst afterwards... I'm glad it's gone. I don't recommend trying to do this yourself though. Mine was stuck to the inside of the skin on my penis so trying to remove it myself would have been awful. I'm glad I finally got this done and I can't wait until it looks normal again (i.e. after brusing/swelling goes down).

I had this once, doc recommended FUSIDIC ACID, it was a white cream that i applied to the bump. Immediately destroyed the bump causing it to ooze out, healed days later.

I think thats what these damn things have been. Im 23 and I hand had any sexual contact in over about a year and a half of getting these, for awhile i thought they were perhaps warts and felt very uneasy for some time, I only have been with 3 peopl in my life and was always protected and like i said it had been well over a year since my last contact. They look like pimples at first then kinda grow intoa raised area but not with a cauflwoer look. One day i decided to try freezing my least favorit one to see what happend by inverting a duster can and CAREFULLY letting one drop of the cold compressed liquid fall over the spot. (Note CAREFULLY, if you try this slowly squeeze the inverted duster can trigger untill enough of the compressed liquid forms a tiny drop at the end of the tube) It instantly froze the mystery growth and in about 2-4 days it turned black(from frostbite) and the dead skin kinda fell/pealed off in the shower and out from under it a gooey puss like substance like when you squeeze pop a good sized zit. this is why i belive its a cyst now because a wart would have not been a simi solid puss goop. Mine generaly are no bigger than a bb or smaller. and they remain there for over a few months so i highly doubt they are herepes(they dont hurt either) so once i finally get to see a doc soon to confirm this I plan on buying a cryro freeze wart removerto get rid ofthe ones that bug me most. Even though I doubt these are warts the freeze method got rid of them still and with less pain than i imagin lancing them. plus no scaring! the new skin is a little lighter than the surronding at first but after a while i cant see the spot where it used to be. Im very sure these are just cysts, I just need to get the doctor to verify this. Ive only had 2 on my "shaft" the others are all on my sack or in areas where I got lots of hair, and they tend to appear right by hairs. Wish me luck brah's!

I'm another guy with the same ol thing. I've been to the clinic trying to fix this problem but when I went, they said it was warts and that I had to get them frozen off. All the freezing in the world wouldn't help so I went to another doctor and he reassured me that they were jsust good ol fashioned unattractive cysts. He didn't offer any remedy, he just said that they were natural and to live with it. I have tried cutting them off by myself, which works sometimes but hurts like hell. but looks like I'm not alone
