That's what happened to me. I used the back blade of a gillette razor and nicked the foreskin and a small pearlish white bump a little bit smaller than a bb appeared and was red around and had some puss in it. I've had one before near my taint in the past and did self surgery as I didnt want to go into a doctor to cut around my hole.
I bought a brand new pair of nail clippers and heated them over the stove and then sterilized them with alcohol and put ice on the white follicle part in a mirror. I then squeezed the white follicle towards the surface as best as I could and placed the jaws of the clippers just off to the side and underneath at an angle and gritted my teeth and cut through the top layer of skin. It hurt like a mother, but you could see the infected follicle or plaque maybe sitting there like a tiny onion in the bloody meat. I grabbed it with some tweezers and pulled it out and crushed it between my two thumbnails. It had the texture of a black head zit but with a lot more hardness to it. Nasty, but I got it out. Used hydrogen peroxide and followed up with alcohol and cotton and antibacterial ointment and kept it clean. That one has not come back. But now, I've got one on the foreskin on the underside of the shaft and gonna have to do it again. Tried to squeeze and poke to get it to go away but can still feel the little bb (follicle) from the underside. Feels the same as the previous one.
Have been told and researched that they are hereditary (either sebaceous cyst or plaque) and can come from a clogged pore (or not). Anyways, scared the sh*t out of me but was very nervous about the doc cutting on my taint and now my shaft. But go see a doctor. In my case, I just wasn't comfortable with it and did lots of research before I did it and read lots of posts like you see here. Best of luck

See a dermatologist. Do NOT attempt to drain it. Pus could spread and cause more problems or it could get infected.

Hi, I also had my sebaceous cyst removed. It's on my lower shaft/scrotum area. The cyst was around the size of 2 grains of rice.
The dermatologist surgeon put in 3-4 non-dissolvable stitches (but never told me how many stitches he put in). Now I have an appointment with a nurse in 2 weeks to get the stitches removed.
Now, I have 3 questions:
1. How will I know that the nurse removed all the stitches?
2. Is 2 weeks too long to get the stitches removed? I read online that it's 4-5 days for face, 5 - 10 days for hand and arm, and 7 - 14 days for leg and foot. But what about the scrotum area? Doesn't this get a lot of bloodflow and should be treated like a hand and arm, so 5 - 10 days?
3. I shaved my scrotum before the surgery. Should I shave my balls again before the nurse removes the stitches (I'm guessing not cuz I don't want to accidentally snip anything). Also the stitching thread is black, and my pubic hair is also black. So I don't want to accidentally snip the thread. Thoughts?
