my son will have his first kidney transplant next week. if all goes well and he's well for an expected 10 to 15 years. will he be able to undergo another kidney transplant?

I know you asked this a while ago, but yes, he'll be able to have another kidney transplant. BUT... when you have a transplant, transfusion or pregnancy, you build up antibodies in your blood which can make it harder to find a match the next time and can affect the length of the life of the next one. So he will want to do everything possible to keep each transplant as long as possible by taking his meds!!, controlling his blood pressure, no UTIs, getting his blood drawn and going to the doctor as scheduled.
