Ok, this sounds crazy, but I found something that helps prevent some of the erotic dreams that cause cramps The nights that I am in the danger zone for having the dreams, I sleep sitting up. When I sleep sitting up, I do not have any erotic dreams/cramps!! I have no idea why, but it works for me.

I had a hysterectomy last year and I still have this pain. I still have my ovaries. I'm presently sitting in a hot bath because of the pain. This has happened multiple times. It started directly after having sex with my husband.

I have been googling and my mind as been going crazy to try and explain what I felt..

After intense sex with my husband I felt the normal cramps, mild. Than out of no where it was as if someone turned the knob on the worse period cramps I've ever had AND added 5 more levels to that. I have a very high pain tolerance but I tried to lay down and couldn't bare it. I sat on toilet and pushed down to help ease the pain but no comfort, I had to lay on the cold bathroom floor and rock and just indure the pain. I was covered in a cold sweat and I felt like I was going to throw up and pass out, as if I couldn't handle the amount of pain. Finally it passed and I laid in bed and passed out. I felt extremely tired and now on the side of my vagina it feels like a bruise. It hurts when I walk or move my leg.. This passed year I fought cervical cancer and fear it could be something server. Even during cancer I never felt a pain like this..

Ok, so I have been sitting up to sleep during my danger zone nights to avoid the sleep orgasms followed by pain. (Danger zone=About 14 days up until my period starts).Been sleeping sitting up for a few months now. I haven't had an orgasm sitting up in my recliner until last night......I woke at 5 am to a vivid *stange* dream of me humping a corner of a table(What the heck?!!!) and immediately had an orgasm. I woke up and thought oh no, here we go. Usually the cramps start building right away....but last night I barely cramped AT ALL!! I even went in the shower & sat down waiting for the brutal pain to start, and it never did!! I felt just a slight cramping, but no big deal at all. It didn't even trigger my bowels either like it normally does. I did start sweating a bit but nothing like times in the past where I sweat so bad. I couldn't believe the pain didn't happen like it usually does. It was 95% easier than any other sleep orgasm I had in the past. So, I don't know why sitting up works, but it works for me and I will continue to do it when I am in the danger zone time of the month. (PS...I would never hump a table corner in real life, so weird I dreampt that.)

I've had this pain happen to me twice, once with extreme bleeding along with the pain.
Went to the OBGYN after the bleeding experience and had no cysts or anything. I'm writing this as the 2nd round of pain hits. There's been a break between the pain of about 3 months.
My recommendation to those who can't find a comfy position. Sit on the toilet, with you're feet on something to make you're knees kinda tucked into your chest and bring a pillow to put behind you.
It takes awhile to feel the relief but it does help alot. The pain that normally lasts about 2 hours only lasted me 20.
And whatever you do... curling on your side crying... hurts more.
Wish that doctors could figure out what's going on

This happened to me last night. I had just finished having sex with my boyfriend and we tried a more intense position. 10 min after that I had shooting pain in my lower abdomen/uterus area and in my butt. As if I needed to pass gas but I couldn't get it out. So I figured I'd go to google and stumbled upon all these responses. Glad I wasn't alone. It was the most intense gas-like pain for about 2-3 hours. It didn't ease up until after I called and panicked to my mom, she told me to send my boyfriend to get some tums. I took 2 tums and 2 ibuprofen and about 30 min after that it felt slightly better. Laying on your left side on a hard surface (the floor) helps ALOT. Not gonna lie, the pain does continue through the night, but it's easy enough to sleep through. Still kinda dealing with it this morning, but it just feels like I'm bloated. Moral of the story, TUMS IBUPROFEN AND SLEEP (at least try). Hope this helps!

Wow this is crazy, same as all of you!
I'm 19 and it's happened to me twice, both times after sex. And it's the worst abdominal pain ive ever felt, I can move and I'm crouched in a position that doesn't help either. Sweating, crying, all of it. It hurts to pee or move- finally has died down after about 30 minutes but i still get a shooting pain occasionally.
I called my insurances hotline nurse and she said it wasn't an ovarian cist because I didn't experience any vaginal bleeding or vaginal pain-she suggested it's just pent up gas.
Still not any help though, I don't want to ever get this again

Hi All, Had the same intense pain last night after having sex with my boyfriend. Its the kinda pain i will not even wish on my enemy. It started as a dull throbbing pain like menstrual cramps and developed into something i cant even explain. I tried sitting up with my leg on my chest but later started feeling like i wanted to vomit, which i did. My boyfriend put my legs in water but it didnt help. I later took a glass of milk which worked wonders. I have not had sex in a while tho could it be the cause? now im so scared to ever have sex again.

First i just wanted to address all the other symptoms you were having besides the cramping. That my friend was a panic attack. Since you got scared from the cramping it triggered a panic. Dont worry about those symptoms...unless u suffer from a panic disorder im right there with ya lol. Now the cramping...omg happened to me last night. Terrible. Then after about 30 mins i passed gas and it eased up. Now im just sore in my abdomen. I hope you have been okay since this post....

I am 23, this is around the time I expect my period, and that happened to me last night. It hurt so bad. And nothing made it better. I eventually laid on my side with a body pillow because I was so nauseous. And after about ten minutes of forcing my body to relax it started helping. This was the worst thing I have ever experienced. Tearing my acl and recovering from a c section were nothing in comparison. My mother suggested that I might have moved my uterus into a weirs position and that's what was causing the pain. The cramps were my bodies way of realigning it. This morning I am still sore inside but feeling much better. I slept on my side with a body pillow and heating pad. I hope this helps some of you. But I really would like to know what exactly is happening.
