severe abdominal pain after sex

Go have yourself checked for ovarian cysts and BV. I suffer from cysts and have this exact  same pain.  And  was told it  is  cysts.  I also have  just  been told I have BV and I  am on some antibiotics. This has been  going on for quite some time and every time I went in  they  told me  nothing was  wrong. Finally  because of the severe pain I went  into an immediate care clinic and they found the problem.

it was my second time at sex and i had the same feeling. I cryed to my boyfriend :(

Hello. I just experienced this pain an hour ago, and just like all of you described its like the worst period pain you've ever had, multiplied. I too experienced this just after sex with deep penetration. and I am expecting my period any day now. I am so glad I thought to google this as soon as possible after I could see straight. It is very reassuring that others have experienced this without any other symptoms or medical complications. For anyone else reading this looking for answers, please don't be worried. This appears to be a normal reaction of the uterus caused by mild to moderate trauma. (by trauma I mean any unusual pressure or force inflicted on the uterus). The uterus is in a very tender place as our body prepares to shed the interior lining of the uterine walls during menses. This kind of seizing-up of the uterus muscle/tissue is a normal reaction. When your tissue is tender anywhere else in your body and that tissue experiences trauma you will experience a higher pain level than normal. and if tender or inflamed muscle tissue is traumatized it can sieze-up. Again, please don't be worried, there is likely nothing wrong with you. but if you are still concerned after reading all these personal accounts then by all means, get checked out by your doctor just to be on the safe side.

have you ever thought about the possibility of bruising the cervix? This can happen with deep sex & if the penis is long or if you have a short cervix or something. This has happened to me and a friend and that was the diagnosis from the doctor for each of us.... However what I think is a different problem are the symptoms as above, severe abdominal cramps like servre period paind but straight after having sex. I always thought it was endometriosis but about ten years ago had all the tests and went through all the doctor and specialists appointments but after having the laperoscopy they didn't find anything and told me there was a possibility the endo cysts were hiding in my bowel.

just thought you all should check out adenomyosis- its related to endometriosis but is a different condition, and can result in contraction like pains following intercouse and deep achey draggy feeling in vagina. very difficult to diagnose but id talk to ur Ob Gyn about it- as a fellow sufferer- there is help out there :)

I too have experienced this, once in the past, and now just a couple hours ago. The pain hit me a few minutes after having deep penetrative sex. I immediately took 800 mg of ibuprofen, since I could barely walk from the pain. I then laid down and tried to sleep while controlling my breathing. After maybe 2-3 hours of sleeping, I woke up with intense pain. I felt bloated, cramped, was sweating, and nauseous. The pain felt like it was my whole abdominal area. I could also taste bile coming up, but never actually threw up from the nausea. I tried taking pepto in case it was really bad indigestion or something. I also tried going to the bathroom, but nothing came of that. In the end, a hot bath and hot tea helped the pain subside. Its now a dull ache, with some minor pangs when I shift suddenly. And like everyone else, my period is due soon. In about a week or so.

I know this might sound crazy, but it's air getting into your cervix. This most often happens close to your period because of the position of your cervix in your cycle. It can also happen because of a more endowed lover, orgasm and position. It last for a couple hourse because it take time for the air bubbles to vacate. Try strong holding keigles and getting your rump in the air. Hope this helps.

Hi my girl friend has. The same problem I believe the first time it happened was to to her not finishing during intercourse how ever that same night I felt abdominal troubles as well I thought it was cause it had only been my first time but its happened repetitively

You should ask your doc to check for interstital cystitis

This used to happen to me!I would get horrible pains in my stomach after sex and the only thing that helped was curling up in the fetal position and waiting through it. After a few years I found out I was allergic to gluten. This hasn't happened since I went gluten-free with the exception of one time when I ate gluten. I have a very active sex life and will admit that I have a lot of rough sex. This pain can be caused by rough sex and your cervix being hit, but for me it was intestinal inflammation.A lot of people don't take a gluten-free diet seriously and I didn't at first. One year ago I went to the doctors to have tests done - it turns out that I am now infertile because I ignored the problem for so long. I also have a cousin who died from stomach cancer, caused by ignoring symptoms of celiac disease for a length of time.This isn't something to freak out about, but you should definitely look into the problem.

Has anyone found the cause of these pains? ive been getting them for almost 2 years now and im so worried that if i go for the xray they'll find its cancer or something :( my mum passed away from cancer so im quite scared it could be something like that.
ive heard that sometimes this sort of pain can be caused by a "tilted uterus" .
but have any of you found out what is actually going on? its getting really bad for me now, unbearable pain and sweating and ive fainted twice. : someone please answer me!

I am 20 years old yesterday I woke up severe pain in my cervix/uterus/abdomen after masturbation. It was painful to use the bathroom. I could barely stand up or walk without feeling the need to fall. I was dizzy, and very sweaty when the pain was unbareable. The pain came about every 10 minutes. I normally don't go through pain this bad or get sick. The pain made me cry,even when I tried not to. I would've gone to the ER but I have no health insurance. The next morning when I woke up the pain wasn't that bad but my cervix is still in some pain. Is there anyone that can help me out or is there anyone who has had any similar experiences? I'm scared, and I don't know what to do.
