I have finally figured out what was causing my pain. I have had every single symptom listed. Horrible cramping after waking in the middle of the night or right after intercourse. Having the feeling of needing to use the restroom then sweating profusely. Only remedy was to take an ibuprofen as soon as I felt the pain. Once the intense pain was gone, I would still have nausea and bloating. I have been to multiple doctors and have had every test done. I was diagnosed with Endometriosis almost 20 years ago. During my first surgery the doctor said I was one of the worst cases he had ever seen. I have been on birth control continuously since my surgery meaning no menstrual cycles. The doctors did not want me to have a menstrual cycle so that my body would not create any more endometriosis. Almost 5 years ago I started having the extreme pain once again. It had almost been 15 years since my first surgery so my doctor thought it was time for another surgery. However this time there was only scar tissue and no endometriosis because the birth control had worked all of these years. That is when I started doing my own research and I came across an article where someone had the same symptoms as me and I couldn't believe the reason. She was vitamin-D deficient. I remembered earlier that year, one of my doctors had said my vitamin D levels were very low and I needed to take a supplement but I did not listen. I went back and had my levels re-checked and sure enough very low. I started taking a vitamin D supplement once a day and after about a month I didn't have the pain anymore. My doctor has since put me on a prescription which I only have to take 1 pill and it lasts for about 6 months for me. As soon as it starts to wear off I have the pains again. Before wasting any more time I would advise everyone to get their vitamin D levels checked. You wouldn't think that this could cause so much pain. I know I didn't but now I do and am so happy I finally have relief.

Awesome you found what is causing it! I know how horrible the pain can be. I too started vitamin D and my pain has been reduced, but it hasn't gone away completely. May I ask what dosage you take? I take 5000 IU Vitamin D3 by Country Life.

So i have had the same symptoms for years and I was just diagnosed with vasovagal. This is the first time since it happened since my diagnosis but there does not seem to be a cure just things to do to make you feel better while its happening. It is nervous system related and this time I had a lot of presymptoms like anxiety, restlessness, ringing of the ears, sensitivity to sound and I was wide awake. Hopefully someone can figure out how to stop these episodes from happening. It would make my life better. .

Hello, that isn't how phytoestrogens work. Phytoestrogens are much weaker than the estrogen in your body but compete for the same receptors. Because of this, if you have low estrogen, it'll bump up the amount you have by adding to it. If you have high estrogen levels, it'll compete with it for receptors, and as they are maybe only 25-50% as strong they will actually reduce the amount of estrogen in your body. Therefore phytoestrogens are estrogen balancing. The only time they would do harm is in a menopausal woman with breast cancer or a woman with breast cancer on Tamoxifen.

On a side note, I've had these horrendous pains twice in my life and passed out from pain each time. Lasted about 4 hours and was sore for 2-3 days after. still no idea what it was. I also suspect cysts or severely trapped gas.

I had this happen tonight. I was more or less unprepared for sex and we’d just eaten a huge meal but I’d had sciatic pain earlier so my boyfriend instructed me to undress and he massaged my back for about a half hour before getting aroused and slipping inside me from behind while I was in a prone position.

This led into pretty hard sex and I felt a quick stitch in my stomach before I orgasmed, but shifting positions allowed me to finish.

Afterwards I was doubled over in gas pain and he tried to massage my belly and noticed it was almost completely distended. In the tub now because it was so painful and sitting on the toilet didn’t help.

I am about four weeks out from a miscarriage and this is the first time we have had non-gentle sex since. He’s worried my cervix hasn’t healed but it really just feels like intense gas pains.
