Hello, my kid is 12 years old and it looks like we will have to take extra care of his teeth. They are not growing in a proper direction and the doctor said that he will have to wear braces in order to set the teeth straight. But we are still concerned because of severe malocclusions and developing TMD risk.

Well, for now, there is no need to worry about anything. I mean, if the dentist said that the braces will fix the problem than there is no need for you not to believe him. If something more serious happens, I guess that the dentist will know how to react and help your kid. If the braces are the only thing he will have to endure, then there is no need for a concern.
