I have had severe shoulder pain for the last ongoing 7 years. It comes and goes, but the pain is unbearable.
I've had an MRI, numerous blood tests, ultrasounds, X-rays, arthritis scans and even seen a bone and muscle specialist and they are still unsure of what it is.
There is no certain activity that makes it happen, it justs comes on out of nowhere, and the only thing that helps with the pain is morphine.
When the pain arises, it's horrible. It's like a harsh, sharp pain all through my shoulder, causing me to be unable to do the smallest activities, everything makes it worse. I have tried moving it, and physio but that makes it worse and I've even tried not moving it at all and keeping it in a sling, but that also makes it worse. And lately I've noticed that if I lean on my shoulder or even keep it above my head too long, only my shoulder will go numb.
And this isn't just in one of my shoulders, it fluctuates between the two. And feels like it is there more than its not.
They have ruled out, injury, artritis, bone problems and even cancer.
If anyone has any idea what this could be, please help me, as I'm running out of options.
