I had gb removed sept.07 but the pain returned within a couple of weeks. Its not daily or even weekly but when it occurs I feel like I'm dying! It is about a 12 on 1-10 scale. Not related to food. No nausea, diarrhea, or vomiting. Lasts from 1 to 4 hrs. Helped eventually by Levbid but not as well as used to. I hope someone can help. Thanks

I'm wondering if you've found any relief or a diagnosis. My symptoms are eerily similar. I had my gb removed in 06 and the pain returned almost immediately. It happens sometimes a couple times a month - and sometimes I'll go 6 weeks with nothing. I've never had an attack last for 4 hours though! Longest is an hour, usually more like 40 minutes. Can't do ANYTHING when it happens, totally incapacitated.
