I had my gallbladder removed 3 weeks ago and for the most part I have been feeling better. My abdominal pain, fatigue, joint pain and diarrhea (these were my issues before GB removel) has pretty much disappeared. My question/concern is: I cannot lose weight, I started walking about 4 days after surgery. Started walking a few blocks and now I'm up to 2 miles. I watch my caloric intake (I eat less than 1200 calories a day). I drink 12 glasses of water a day. But yet I can't lose weight. Before the surgery I had gained 40lbs, seems like overnight but realistically it was gained in about 6 months prior to surgery. Also, I constantly feel bloated. And my other concern is I'm still having a sharp pain when I breathe in to deeply or when I have to cough or sneeze. I'm still having shoulder pain in my right shoulder, I have read that is from the release of the co2 they inflate you with for surgery, but after 3 weeks shouldn't it have been pretty much released? Just wondering if anyone else is having these issues after 3 weeks post op, and if so...any suggestions!
