Hello everyone! I had a 9mm kidney stone that was unsuccessfully fragmented from two different lithotripsy procedures. After the second lithotripsy a stent was placed for about 2 weeks and they were the most uncomfortable, painful weeks of my life! I then had to get a laser lithotripsy were the doctor removed a peice of the kidney stone then broke up the rest of it. Another stent was placed for 5 days and I didn't experience any discomfort with this stent. I removed the stent at home after 5 days like the doctor told me. I had sex 2 days after I removed the stent since the doctor didn't tell me to refrain from sex for any period of time. Sex was not painful but kind of felt like I had sand/grit in my vagina. I'm in no discomfort after having sex. Is this normal? Was it fragments of the stone I was feeling? Any and all information appreciated!
