I am a 34 year old male who enjoys recreational cycling. I weigh 160 and am 5 foot 11 inches tall. In a four month period I've lost about 10 lbs as a result of increased activity and exercise. On several occasions I have had a very sharp pain on my rights side just below the ribs followed by a dull pain for an hour or so. I have not been able to identify a connection with any excessive exercise efforts. The sharp pain initiates when I squat down and my abdomen is compressed. My obvious question is: what are the possible causes of this pain? Is it possible that the pain is simply a nutritional deficiency?
