So for about two weeks, whenever I move my right leg up and out, I feel a sharp stab, I believe in the joint, of my hip. It was so bad getting out of the car the other day I involuntarily cried out. It doesn't hurt when walking, or if I rotate the leg inward, but if I'm moving the leg up and out, or rotating to cross my legs, it's immensely painful. What could be causing this pain?

Please let me know if you find out what it is. I have been having that pain as you described it since November last year. I also get a really sore backside when I sit on certain surfaces. It feels like I have sat for too long. The pain stays across my coccyx. Even to just touch my backside it is very sensitive. But my hip is not getting better. I am hoping to see a specialist soon....
