shoulder pain now have hip pain aslo, and sore throat. Left side only

I am not a medical person, but I do suffer from shoulder pain and hip pain. I believe the hip pain is caused because the shoulder pain keeps me from changing positions in bed. Even the hip I am NOT sleeping on gets sore. If you are in pain during the night, you will surely be very tired from loss of good, uninterrupted sleep. The sore throat could be a canker sore on one side. Gargle with warm salt water several times a day and see if your throat gets better. See a doctor for heavens sake.

I have had 6 bouts of sore throat in the last 12 weeks, each time getting better and then getting sick again. Then, yesterday I woke up with the absolutely worst arthritic pain in my right shoulder and right hip. It has spread to my left should and left hip now as well, and I just feel terrible. I just moved overseas 8 weeks ago, and the doctor here in Kuwait said it was all due to allergens in the air that I'm not used to.

be sure to see a physician if you have significant shoulder pain over an extended period of time. My brother had shoulder pain for several months, and was told it was probably a torn rotater cuff, or muscular, but after the pain got worse and many more months went by (without any decrease in pain), he finally had a scan it was found to have Hodgkins Lymphoma. This is not a typical diagosis... very rare actually in regard to this pain (muscular is most likely the cause) but to the person who wrote he was fatigued, if there are other symptoms, besides pain in the shoulder, I'd recommend having a diagnostic test if it the condition worsens.

i am having the same problem, upon research I have found that hip and shoulder pain can be side effects of Thyroid disease. Another symptom of thyroid disease is an enlarged thyroid which is in you throat. This causes a sore throat and possible hoarseness when talking. Something you should look into. Good Luck.

John please get checked again by another doctor. You could possibly have Polymyalgia with the main symptoms being shoulder and hip pain. You can also have wrist, elbow, knee, lower back, and ankle pain/ and or swelling. Have them check your sed rate as this is usually elevated. Also Giant Cell Arteritis can be common with Polymyalgia. This is serious and can cause blindness and strokes. Sore throats are common with arteritis. One usually has temple pain and tenderness but the headache can be in other areas too. The treatment for both is prednisone. I'm being checked for this tomorrow with a temoral artery biopsy which is the only way to diagnose Giant Cell arteritis. I too have shoulder and hip pain plus much more. Very fatigued!!!! Please be persistant with your doctors and mention this. Although it is uncommon in people under 50 it doesn't mean we can't have this! I'm 44 and believe I have been mis-diagnosed SO many times. Best of luck to you John.

I am only 23 and I am having shoulder and hip pain only on my left side :-( It started with just my shoulder and not its my hip to. I have hypothyroidisim. I have no idea whats going on with me but I guess I should see a doctor.
