After a serious bout of asthma I was told to increase my use of Advair to twice daily. Shortly, I began having a voice change -extreme hoarseness, clearing throat constantly, speaking too softly. I am very short of breath--so much so, that my cardialogist did an angiogram 2 wks ago to be sure I have no blockages...no bad news. So I am left with what my pulminologist calls "Advair voice". She says that it might be PERMANENT!!! I have had this for about a month.

I don't know if you'll get this because your post was almost two years ago, but I have the same problem. I went to my ENT dr. and he told me I have Advair voice, too. I have a hoarse voice constantly, and it is an effort to speak. I take the 500/50 dosage twice a day for severe asthma. I have to take it or die, so I just have to live with a hoarse voice. Believe me, I feel for you. I hope you and both feel better.

1st of all, with any inhaler you need to rinse your mouth after every use. Also the horseness will go away, you probably need a medication from your dr,that is a antibiotic. Should be no more than 1 week.
