It would seem to me that apart from the obvious differences between men and women, most of the symptoms and problems of the Sjorgen’s syndrome are the same. I have heard this figure of only one in ten Sjorgen’s suffers are men, and I also heard that men seem to suffer more. It is weird to me, because my GP said I am his only patient with SJS (male or female) and my dentist said the same!

Well, I'm not quite sure that I understand what you are trying to say. You seem to be implying that the number of men with Sjorgen’s syndrome is perhaps even less than 1/ 10. Yet, based on what my GP stated, the percentage of Sjorgen’s syndrome patients seen by my GP and dentist is 100% male! You know guys, I would venture to bet that many more men have Sjorgen’s syndrome. Either they ignore the symptoms or they have been misdiagnosed. I have heard many times, "this is a woman's disease” and I always correct people. I think that if more men were correctly diagnosed with the disease, they would get more attention. I hate to use the double standard, but so many times happened that doctors think this is all in "a woman's head."
