I've had this problem before, but I got it in a strange way. One of my friends dared me to use liquid dishwasher soap instead of lotion (you get the picture). The soap dried and I had all the symptoms you described. Maybe when you shower you just don't rinse of your soap well enough.

People are trying to come in here and find answers to everyday problemes and your being a god damn child about it so grow up and get a life. But anyway I have been experiencing this for the past 2 years straight. I am 19 and shower frequently....daily....It started out as a small patch on the left side. Than I had hernia repair surgery and my nuts swelled up and now the rash has engulfed my entire sack. I dont know what to do. I have been to the doctors many times about the probleme and no matter what I say they always say it is jock itch. I have tried many types of steroids antibiodics oitments anything the doctors would give me...all failed. now i just lotion them twice daily with unsented lotion and use baby powder religiously and it hasnt stopped the itch or the rash but it has made the itching a little more manigable. sorry i couldnt help any more than that. If anyone else has anything to help me...I am willing to try just about anything.

I had the same thing all i do is peel the skin, shower, don't put any soap or products down in that area and then the next day you should fine.

ok so i washed mine with soap but afterwards it started happening the redness has gone away and its still a bit scaly but dont worry, if you peel skin of and it hurts make sure your not pulling on any hair, if not see a doctor but my advice is too not peel it off.

The same thing happened to me when i was 11 or 12. I am 33 now. I was going through puberty and I couldnt figure out how my balls got a "sunburn." Anyway, i went to the bathroom and it started to peel off. It didnt hurt. I think my balls significantly dropped after that. If you peel them, make sure you peel them evenly. I didnt fully peel the skin off my left nut and you can see where the darker skin remains. Again, it doesnt hurt and it is not an infection. BUT LIKE ONE GUY SAID ABOVE, IF IT STARTS TO HURT, STOP! My scrotum at the shaft is dry, burning/itching, and peeling skin flakes. This happened after lathering and vigorously buffing the area using liquid hand soap. Later, I was low on body wash and used shampoo on the area. I dried the area vigorously with a towel. I've not showered before then for about one week. I've had this problem before. It has gone away before after a few days of normal activity.

But first a ant bit me over my balls and it started to itch like hell, so i controlled myself not scratching,then after three days, now a thin layer of dry skin is coming off..................
I am indeed ashamed to have to meet a doctor, so what to do??????????
