Thank you. It would mean a lot. I am having a really rough few months and this is probably the most depressing holiday of my life.

I'm sorry to hear that.

I've got nothing to make you smile--except remember how much you mean to lots of people--and remember also, the people you most respect in life--do you still have their respect and their friendship? That's what matters at the end of the day.

Thanks very much. You are all very sweet. As much as I hate to admit this, I'm going to go talk to a professional about this issue. I am depressed, and I can't fix myself. That's my admisssion for the day. I'm over blaming this place and this job and the whole mess that happened when we moved here, and my pain, my surgery, my husband's surgery and the year of his disability for all of this. Those all certainly contributed, but I think that there is something wrong inside of my head that is making me feel like this.

them chemicals in our heads can do the strangest of things... for example - you could belive you are a bird, that the end is near, see astroboy on your ceiling, even change the color of your eyes.

i missed most of the details of your story, but best of luck with whatever course you decide to take. the most important thing in life (well that i've found so far), if you think things should be better, do what you need to do to make them better.

How about a funny story?

Well, We were told by our trainers that the best thing after a Marathon is an ice bath for 10 minutes...
after one of the girls was done her marathon (8.5 hours walking)... She was exhausted and could barely move...So her roommate filled her ice bath for her. In to the tub she went - then she realized - Oh no, i haven't peed in 8.5 hours, So her roommate said "i'll leave so you can go"

Ang "oh, too late"
Bath water turns yellow
Roomie "Oh my"
Ang: "I'm so f-ing sore right now, i don't care!"
roomie: "Do you want some of my anti-inflamatories?" (she had persciprion one because she is in pharmacutical sales)
Ang: Yes, Please!
roomie "Here you go, with some water"
*plunk*
in to the water the pill goes...
roomie : No worries I have more!
Ang : Don't worry, I've got it!
roomie: "uh, Ang..."

Ang: Ohhh my god! I just ate my own Pee!!! Oh well, the marathon didn't kill me, the pee won't either...

I agree with your decision to seek professional help. I'm sure you know that you don't need sad things to happen in your life in order to be depressed - sometimes there is a chemical imbalance in the brain that is the cause.

Good luck Kristen!

Finally...a prayer answered!! Perhaps a few of your own might help too?

You won't regret going....you honestly won't. You've had a lot on your plate and a lot of stuff buried deep....I think this is a good idea. An impartial professional can do a lot more for you than just one or two of us, no matter how much we care. Every time I've been to therapy it really helped.

Other stuff helps too, but you have to let it in when you're ready. :)
