I ate a piece of bacon three days ago. The piece i ate was not fully cooked. A stringy kind of piece not krispy. When i was chewing on the bacon i felt like a pulling sensation from the inside and i wasn't even trying to swollow yet. I new i should of stopped it. It happened to me before with chinese food but that i did put my finger in my throat and pull it back out. I did that because i was worried it would go through the wrong way. This time i had no time with the bacon, it pulled in and went pretty fast. It almost feels like it was dangling. I tried eating bananas and peanut butter so that maybe it can get trapped and go down. I tried coughing. It seems though when I try all these things i made it worse. now i feel its lodge somewhere in my throat, larynx, epiglottis? Please give advice what should i do /Where to start?

I sympathise, I had something similar happen with a big piece of apple peel and I'm still suffering discomfort a few months later. (Yes, I did go to an ENT doc but unfortunately he couldn't find anything down there... long story.)

The main thing is that you can breathe and swallow! But if it doesn't go soon, I think you will have to go to A+E/ ER. If you are lucky, it may be easy to see and remove. If it is right down your windpipe, though, they may have to do a bronchoscopy on you. DON'T WORRY - I had this done, and it was no problem at all, they just put you to sleep for what feels like two minutes and you don't know anything about it.

Please let us know how you are and what happens.
