I'm looking in taking the following supplements: vitamin d, calcium d glucarate, DIM and vitamin b6. Look them up to learn about the benefits when it comes to estrogen dominance. I'm only doing so because my doctor said I'm fine and won't help me. I will keep everyone posted on my progress once I start the supplementation regime. Hang in there!

Hello, thank you for your advice, I would like to know if you are still doing good on these supplements pills ( The Dandelion Root and the Evening Primrose ) ?
Can you please tell me what is the exact dosage in mg that is written on the package for each one ?

Appreciate your help

This happened to my 19 year old daughter. I immediately started her on a ketogenic diet along with things to support her thyroid and adrenal glands. She maintained the no carb high fat and moderate protein plan for five days before reaching ketosis and she did loose any weight. Now she is carb cycling and loosind weight. We are still fighting this. Dr. Eric Berg has some really helpful videos on YouTube that address hormone rebound issues.

I had rapid weight gain for the duration while on birth control, after going off them, I also had been tested, I was only twenty then, and that was twenty years ago. I am 39 now, and have had diabetes ever since. I believe there is a connection between the pills and diabetes.

Hey everyone doesn't look like anyone has discovered how to stop the weight gain yet.
I was on yazmin for years, decided to come off it October 2015 I gradually just gained and gained weight without changing my diet,- I had maintained my weight for years before! So in the 8 + months I was off it I've gained 2 stone which I am not happy about at all especially when I eat clean and healthy. So last week I have given in and decided to start the pill again, I tried evening primrose, magnesium tablets the works nothing helped. So I've restarted 1 week tomorrow hopefully things will start to get back to normal soon! I didn't want to go back on yaz but nearly 9months and a lot of weight gain has swayed my decision!!

Same as the rest of you....went off BC, and now a year and a half later, I've gained 15-20 pounds. My lifestyle has improved since that time, yet I've gained weight. It makes no sense. I'm only 25 by the way.

Weight gain has been in my hips/waist/inner thighs mostly. Will my body ever go back to normal?

I started cerazette when I was 19 and stopped it when I was 22, during those 3 years I gained a fair bit of weight and was 164 pounds the day I stopped taking it. Strangely I found it fairly easy to lose weight for the 8 months I was off it, I didn't notice a bloating but this may have been simply because I was used to feeling bigger anyway. I started cerazette again because I was seeing someone and even though that relationship didn't last I just continued to use the pill out of convenience. (I had chronic period pain when off the pill.) In December I met someone new and we entered into a relationship- I hadn't had sex for 7 months when we started dating and the expression "use it or lose it" certainly applies here. Sex was horribly painful but at first I just put it down to it having been a while since last time and that my body would adjust- it didn't. It felt like I was being torn apart, so by May it was decided that it was the pill causing this dried up painful feeling (also had no sex drive and felt totally unlike myself.) So I came off the pill, expecting things to go like last time.

Last time:
Lost weight through only dieting
Sex drive was back within around 2 months
Emotional for first 3 months but put that down to going through a break up

This time: (3 months in)
Emotional/mood swings (premenstrual-like)
Sex drive is only in the last week starting to creep back
Hard bloated stomach that hurts to try and suck in
Boobs, hips, thighs and arms have also all swollen hugely
Used to weigh 140-145 pounds, I'm now at 160 and scared that it's climbing back to my old weight when I tried so hard to get it off last time.
I'm 25 and 5"7, I've been trying magnesium high potency doses for other symptoms too but I think it's a little early to tell if it's going to help me here. Based on last time I'm going to hope that it takes the same, if not only a little longer than last time for me to start to feel normal again, I've changed my diet radically and have began to go to the gym now and the weight just increases. I think I'm going to wait it out and never touch the pill again after all this.. Hope everyone finds their solution!

I was on various birth controls for 7 or 8 years. With the most recent being, Ortho tricyclen lo. I stopped taking my pill 6 months ago when i was 102 pounds. I am now 134. I am a runner, eat around 800 calories a day, and eat an extremely clean diet. I have done nothing but GAIN rapidly. I have gone for blood tests and have hormonal testing next week. This is extremely depressing. I have not gotten a period since I went off the pill & I am not pregnant. If I would have known this was going to happen, I would have never stopped taking my pill. Hoping to get back on the pill to lose this weight.
