My face is assymetrical and it's makin me depressed. I'm a twenty one year old girl and I can't look in a mirror without gettin frustrated, when my face is relaxed it automatically kind of sets to the left. My teeth don't stay aligned the way they ought to.

I hurt the molar in myleft jaw a while back and made habit to chew on that side. My mom told me my face would be assymetrical and over the last six months ive carried out this habit for five years almost)  my face is more set to the right. Is this really why that happened?

Will I need surery to fix it? What kinds? I heard braces would help. Should I stop eatin on one side?

I suppose I can detect the slight lack of symmetry in the picture, but nothing especially out of the ordinary. Perhaps I need to see a better picture, or perhaps better glasses. Most people are not symmetrical. One eye different from the other; one ear higher or bigger than the other; lop-sided smile; one shoulder lower than the other; one breast bigger than the other; one foot bigger than the other; nose not straight. It makes you an individual rather than a clone. Often it is people's idiosyncrasies that first attracts others.
Maybe switch eating sides and see if it makes a difference, but don't have any more surgery than is necessary for your health.
