I have no way to describe this any better. I am sweating a lot. For various reasons, I have thought about peripheral neuropathy, also because of some of the other symptoms that I have been plagued by as of late. I am a diabetic too. Autonomic neuropathy. It is horrible! If at all possible, try to have a fan blowing on your face and chest, for a few minutes, and it will help you get through that wave. I thought that I was going to get rid of these hot flashes when I finished menopause, but I know now that this is a new life long problem. :(

Sorry for the bad news! The fan helps and so does amitriptyline and nortriptyline (spelling?) That helps a lot but makes your mouth really, really dry. Maybe that is just with some people and not all. I hope that this helps.
