Next time you feel the urge to point out someone's stupidity, take a moment and make sure that your ignorance isn't about to make you look like an m***n.

I have seen the same problem. My right labia minora is swollen and itchy. It began while I was also on my period, towards the end. To think of it, I think I was also fooling around with my boyfriend. I've just been trying to ignore it, but it has been 3 or 4 days now. I read a previous post that said it could be thrush (a bacterial infection) or dermatitis.
I just wanted to clarify that thrush is actually a yeast infection in the oral cavity...it is more common in infants. It is not of bacterial origin.
thrush can occur in infants as oral thrush and in grown women as vaginal thrush and is a yeast infection which can be treated with antifungal medication

"yeast is a type of bacteria"
Ummmm... no it's not. Yeast is a fungus. Fungus is not a type of bacteria, it is an entirely separate organism.

Wow, I'm not the only one it seems, Phew! I woke up in the middle of last nite and had to pee, so i went to the bathroom and didn't turn on the big lite, nite lite is easier on eyes. So i started to pat myself dry, I have a lot of skin there and I usually use one hand to open my self a lttle, and when i started to do this, my left lip was swollen like a baloon (IM NOT JOKING) and very sensitive to touch. It looked like it was going to burst. Its gone down some now. What causes this. I dont have a boyfriend or have had intercourse, but i do play sometimes. How can I keep it from happening again? Thx/.
