Hello! My husband is 43 years old and last night we noticed some strange lesions on his testicals. Lesions are small, mostly red even though there are some black ones as well. They are a bit scaly as well. He hasn’t noticed them before as they didn’t itch or hurt or anything. I don’t think it is an STD as I trust him and we still spend a lot of time together, but I am worried that it is some sort of skin cancer or something similar. Is there anybody who recognizes this problem? All info is more than welcome!

Your husband probably has Angiokeratoma of Fordyce. I have them also. I got just as scared, but I was also thinking of an STD as I am divorced and have had unprotected sex. I ran to a clinic and they explained what these small lesions are all about. They are made of surface blood vessels and they may even become crusty and bloody if accidentally scratched. They should be left alone as they are harmless, but if one minds them in cosmetical way, they can be removed by excision, laser therapy, cryotherapy or electrocautery. Although your husband’s problem resembles Angiokeratomas, he should check them anyway to make sure it is something else.
