What you could have developed is Angiokeratoma of Fordyce. What made me think about them is the fact that they started to bled when you pulled one of them.
The colour of these bumps can range from dark red, purple to black. They are made of surface blood vessels. They often bleed if scratched.
You may have one or over 100 lesions. Their exact cause is not known but it usually appears in men who are over 40.

They are usually left alone although they may be a cosmetical nuisance.

I reckon you should have it checked just in case because sometimes they may resemble melanoma. If a doc is not certain, s/he may perform a biopsy to check what it really is.
If they turn out to be angiokeratoma, and they bother you so much, you may decide to remove them.
