THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN METHADONE AND METHADOSE

I agree completely with u about Methadone being stronger because when taken in pill form the other compounds in the pill absorb more quickly in the stomach breaking down leaving the actually drug ingredient i use for my pain to come on stronger then the Methadose pills..Methadone is a better pain reliever for my spine injury then Methadose... I told my pharmacy that i only want the Methadone and they order in bulk quantity for stock just for me since i pick up every 2 wks and have been on it for 9 yrs... I take 15mg daily and when they smtimes run low awaiting their stock... I ask for the 10mg and break them in half cuz Methadose from my own experience is weaker for the only reason it breaks down much slower

Thank you! Finally someone who knows. They are not the same. I have taken both. And the Methadose does nothing for my pain where the Methadone does.

I take it to stay off heroin and it is weaker I'm sick every day

What sucks is.i even asked this new clinic which they had before transferring and the didn't bother to ask the nurse desk and just said 'its methadone'. Of course they hardly care. Needless to say they lied and it's the horrible cherrymethadose. This stuff is truly awful. Who cares if you get a five minute minor high from methadone? Do they just want to make things hard on us? Thank you for researching. To 99 percent of people they feel a huge difference. I think this is almost criminal. I hope to God someone class action lawsuits them. Callous F's. Sorry just venting since it's the Only real right I have... Addicts are at the very bottom of totem pole. God only knows what else they put in this c**p. We could all be dead in ten years. Hey, PLEASE email me if you know of anywhere in Denver or even Colorado where they give out real old-school methadone. Or Any doctors who do it. I'm a good referral. Thank you. Otherwise I'm going to silk road. I hate this countries regulatory bodies so much. Why even have a AMA interface between citizens and the drugs they want? I mean who really cares? I must of missed that part in the Constitution! Meh, that thing is so much a kleenex now anyway. But I mean what did ya'll expect? You had to know this stuff was c**p. And it isnt jus the absence of the SLIGHT euphoria methadone caused. It's everything!! I don't even think this was about money which would lead down some darker alleys but whatever I said my peice. I've had to deal with this c**p two out three last clinics so yea some things are a bit pent up. If your transferring or starting new. Find out for SURE what they have and hopefully we can boycott with our dollars atleast.

I agree 100%.Methadose is way stronger more effective and more expensive to the pharmacy.

what are you talking about methadone or methadose attaches itself to the MU and Kappa opiate receptors not nmda what did you say

but the the methadose still must be diluted by the pharmacist. So your argument about tampering does not apply.

Not true at all methadone that you get from a clinic has an anxiety agent and something else so when they test you they can tell you are taking their methadone which is far more addictive and not the methadone tablets. They don't want you to stop going to their clinic they loose money

Also Methadose can metabolize much faster in some people if mixed with alcohol.I'm one of the small percentage that it does in., Although I'm not a heavy drinker I do sometimes enjoy sharing some wine with friends over dinner and was able to do so with no ill effect while on Methadone,now that I am on Methadose I cannot have more than 2 glasses without running the risk of starting to vomit,having diareha,watery eyes and other withdrawl symptoms.

lol... im going through exact opposite i have been taking methadose wafers for 7 yrs, and i moved to another clinic that uses methadone liquid it does not seem as potent to me, maybe its what our bodies get use too

I was told by a friend of mine who is a neurosurgeon that methadone, IS different from methadose. He told me the physcians and pharmacists are misleading us to prevent an all out war, so to speak. There are NO pain medications of any sort in Methadose...as apposed to methadone.....The dr. prescribing my methadose said to me, not to tell them at the hospital, when I went for cancer surgery, that I was on anything as methadose has NO pain medication in it what so ever. And he said that there is so much controversy over this, that if the dr. operating was one of many who believe methadose has a narcotic in it...it could screw me out of getting true pain relief for the cancer surgery I had to endure. Given the fact that the majority of people on methodone now got there through opiate addiction....it would only stand to reason.

There is a difference between the liquid and the pill forms you all sound uneducated. That's why I can't stand these sights that have people talking about sh*t they really don't know about. I want a real answer from someone who really knows. Cause they're not just different brands. If your speaking about the couple different pill forms that may be true. But that's not the question. It's about liquid vs the pill forms.

Methadone is a opiate. An opiate is a pain med.. It's really sad that even Dr's and pharmacists aren't even schooled in they're professions like they should be.
