Hello - I have a very painful internal hemorrhoid that I've been dealing with for the past 3 months. Apparently, the nerve endings in my rectum go farther up than is typical, so banding is out of the question. My general surgeon recommends thermal coagulation surgery. She has never used thermal coagulation to remove an internal hemorrhoid, but has heard that it may mean less recovery pain for the patient. Anyone out there had this procedure done and is willing to share their experience? I'm very frightened by the prospect of surgery.Thank you.
