Back in early 2017 I was working out pretty much daily, with regular use of weights.
I developed a sort of tenderness/tightness in what I thought to be my lower right abdomen/ groin area. It feels like a tense muscle, and every now and then I can partly relax it, at which point I can feel my right testicle move slightly, almost as if it is connected to whichever muscle it is that is tight.
Between February and May I went to the doctors several times regarding the issue, mainly I was examined for hernias and had a few testicle examination, as i noticed a kind of 'sac' below the right testicle (which I thought to be Epididymitis), each time the doctors said everything was fine.
In June I went to the doctors for one final time and insisted I get a ultrasound, as at this point I thought something was wrong with my testicle. I got one, however It was booked for November, so a very long time away. During this time, I went from doing my regularly exercise to doing barely any exercise at all, and found that the tension gradually went away (I guess as my muscles weakened), but by the time November came, even though there was barely any tension I still went to the ultrasound just incase there was some underlying issue. Again, the doctor said everything was fine.
Skip forward to February of this year and I started doing regular bodyweight exercise, everything was fine, I had no noticeable muscle tension in that region, however two weeks ago, I switched from my bodyweight plan, to one including free weights (as I used to back in 2017), within the first week I have already noticed the tension come back (exactly the same as before) ~"It feels like a tense muscle, and every now and then I can partly relax it, at which point I can feel my right testicle move slightly, almost as if it is connected to whichever muscle it is that is tight."
I was wondering if anyone has ever had similar problems to this/ has found a solution, I don't intend to go to the doctors again, considering, most likely, they will just tell me the exact same as before. I am thinking this could be something to do with my adductor muscles/ hip/groin and have tried doing some stretched targeting these regions, but if anything they have made it worse.
An obvious solution is to stop using weights, as it seems I was fine before I started exercising again, but this is something I'd rather not stop. Perhaps it'd be useful if I could narrow it down to a specific exercise that is causing it... I am thinking maybe it could be due to the way I am squatting.
