First of all I'm 30 yrs. old,and I drive a truck around the country for a living. One day I drove more than I ever drove before (continuosly). A couple days later I felt a discomfort in my left testicle, and it swell up. The swelling went away in a day or so, but I continued to feel heaviness in lower groin area. As I don't have health ins. right now, I thought instead of getting myself in debt with hospital bills why not take some time off and see if it goes away. Well, I took 8 days off and was feeling ok, felt as if it was healed. I got back in the truck and the symptoms came back, discomfort in left bottom part of stomach, testical started acting up again. I'm trying to hold out until Dec. , that's when my healthcare renews. Could you please give me some advice on what you think it is, and how much all the tests that they would do would cost.
Also the left testicle (irritated one) is much lower than right one.

Well, looking to your symptoms this could be just a simple inflammation but also it could be some other bad things. 8-|
How old are you? Do you have any other symptoms? Have you notice any lump on your testicle? Do you feel swelling on one or on both testicles?
If you feel swelling in your scrotum, it's recommended to visit a doctor for examination. I know it's very hard in your case now, because you don't have the insurance now, but anyway my suggestion is to go and check yourself.
In worst case it could be testicular cancer, which is very often last decades but also in more then 90% cases curable if detected in early development stadium.
Anyway I think you caught some inflammation, and maybe it could be just a simple pore blockade whereupon came to inflammation and swelling.
But, here you can find some advices, but nobody can examine you here to diagnose what's wrong with you. However, if you still feel this disconfort, I would suggest you to find a way and visit your doctor ASAP, because if you linger too much, I'm afraid later could be too late!

I am 72 years old and my Right testicle has swelled up and I recently found a 3/8 lump on right side. The lump is very tender and it is very painful. I have unbearable pain in my groin and scrotum. The pain continues to be felt going up and around my back (near my kidney). It continues to hurt with an aching pain that runs down my right leg just below my knee.
I sometimes have problems Urinating and it can also be very painful to pee.
I had this same problem 5 years ago. My urologist had me take 1 Flomax pill each day and it did not help. He then prescribed a bright purple pill that also did not help. I finally was put in the hospital and was feed me medicine by IV. After 4 days in the hospital the swelling went down and everything was normal again. The doctor told me to take Prosar and – Decreases the size of the prostate) Takes a Flomax – Helps your pee flow
For the last 5 years I have been taking 1 Proscar pill and 1 Flomax pill day. I have had a hard time peeing.
Recently I have been diagnosed with Prostate Cancer. The doctor said they caught it early and treated me with 28 Radiations Treatment and then followed up with 2 Needle implant treatments where they inserted 18 needles below my scrotum and they pumped radiation through it. I just finished up with the needle treatments and that was when my swelling began.
My doctor wanted me to wait to see if the swelling would go down and told me to wait a week. The swelling did not go down and I asked him to put me in the hospital to feed medicine by IV. I was hoping this would help. The IV has been feeding me medicine the past 5 days and that has not helped. The pain is unbearable and I am ready to loose a Testicle if needed.
Please help provide some alternative solutions or advise so I maybe able to discuss this with my doctor. We are both at a loss and do not what to do next.

I am currently 20 years old. One day I experienced a real heavy feeling in my left testicle and the feeling went on for 2 weeks, so I saw a doctor and had an ultrasound. It is a condition called varicocele I believe thats how its spelled. Bascially it can be fixed with minor surgury or wearing boxer briefs that support your testicles. You should go see a doctor though.

As normal male, the left testicle hangs lower. The Epididymis on the testicle when ' for me' when I sit ends up being rested on and with in a few minutes this ache will follow that will last for the day. Kind of the recovery time pain of a boot to the balls. Hence "Boxer shorts" Driving can be agony so reajusting my junk can alliveate some of this issue. I have confermed triggering this just by supporting at the "Epididymis" location for a few moments and the pain goes thru the groin area. I find myself scooting forward on chairs so things can hang. The time period causes (20 minutes?) the mind to run that there is a problem and not putting a finger on it (This is what I did to support the testicle at the Epididymis location to trigger the pain so no pun intended (ha ha)) causes anxity wondering whats going wrong hence running back and forth to these non divulgent doctors. (They have house payments too...) Also COMFORTABLE clothing that wore great ONCE before wash then you need a shoehorn to get back into.. Too tight, heat from heavy clothes, getting old, and of course all that money these insurance and doctors need...

Over the past few months I have noticed very uncomfortable pains in my testicles region. I have tried numerous things to help ease the pain, some days it is worse than others and odd days I go without any pain at all.
My wife came across a possible solution which may be of help to you also.
She saw an article in a newspaper about some pants which offer support for the testicles. I had been moaning to her alot about my discomfort so she went on the website and bought me a pair.
I must say they have done wonders to my groin region. They offer great support and lift everything out the way from between my legs when I am driving. They are called Shreddies. I'd definitely recommend them, I know how fustrating and uncomfortable your problem is.

I had similar symptoms, but all exams came out clean. No one could point out the problem, and the pain was going away. After a CAT scan doctors found a small hernia on my back, and told me the pain was probably due to a compressed nerve.
I went to an osteopathic physician to get an opinion...after explaining all my sypmtoms, and a spnial exam by his own hands he found a spinal lesion where there is the genitofemoral nerve area ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Genitofemoral_nerve ). He gave me a twist in the spine, and a special massage in the belly and bladder area (it hurts) and after two hours all my pains in the groin, testicle, bladder, srcotum...disapeard. I couldn't beleive.

Hi, all. My name is Paul, and I am From Derbyshire England. I have back pain around the right side and round and down to my groin area and into my right testicle. I have recently had two stents fitted, about a month ago. Went to the doctors yesterday and he recomended paracetamol tablets .
I can breath a lot better now after having the stents inserted. but the back and side pain and below has been very unpleasant. My doctor said Paracetamol was as good as anything.
