I need tips on staying awake and aware in class. I have been sleepy in class ever since 8th grade. It had gotten to the point where by 12th grade I slept/napped in 3 out of 7 classes (don't worry I had a 4.2 g.p.a for the year 8) ). I slept straight through one of my classes and my teacher hated me for it but I had a 99% in his class so it didn't matter. Then as soon as I got home I usually took a nap for ~15-25 minutes. I got about 7-8 hours of sleep at night.
I can't do this in college and need help. How can I not be so sleepy during the day? I have resorted to napping between classes. I was sleepy even after getting 8.5 hours of sleep. Then I would still have to take a power nap an hour and half after I woke up in order to stay up in my second class of the day.
What I have done to change this:
-tried drinking coffee (but crashed hard, so not benificial)
-exercise
-power naps (only thing that has worked, to an extent)
Please help with any tips, I'm willing to try anything.
