I'm 24 and for quite a few months I have had problems that may or may not be linked. I have been suffering from a heavy vaginal discharge which is really worrying me. It is white or clear, does not smell or itch. It is quite normal - but there is so much of it that I need to wear a pantliner all the time. Due to the wetness, my vaginal area is often slightly sore. It is not like thrush, because I've had that once and it is not like that. What could be causing this? Also, I constantly feel as if there is slight pressure on my urethra and a need to pee. It is not so urgent that I have to go but it is always there and if I drink coffee or don't get enough water it can burn a tiny bit when I pee. It is not a strong burning pain though. I haven't had sex for a while so it can't be that. The final problem may or may not be connected. I recently came up with small lumps,a heat rash on my legs and midriff. They did not disappear because I broke the skin, but they stopped itching. I used calamine lotion and it was fine but then everytime I get hot, they come back, though in different places.I thought it might be hives because I have been stressed and do get probs with histamine. But would hives stay around for a few weeks just because the skin got broken? It is really annoying. Can anyone help? Loulou

Hello! I don’t think that your small lumps/rash is in any way connected with vaginal discharge and urination problems especially because they seemed to have appeared much later. I would advise you to see a dermatologist regarding the rash, it could be some sort of skin yeast infection that loves moist of any other of 2000 existing skin disorders. Dermatologist can usually tell just by looking at them, and you may be given just the thing you need to clear up the rash. You may need antifungal cream or even antibiotics to clear the rash! Do you think it could be folliculitis? The folliculities bumps are very small, usually with little puss on top, and represent ingrown hairs?

As for the discharge, if it’s clear and white and not causing any other troubles, it should be normal. Considering you have urination problems, I would have it ckecked and see if it’s not a bacterial infection that may not be sex related. Bacteria often end up from anal area to the vaginal area and can cause infection. This is why it is advised to wipe from top to the bottom in order to avoid passing bacterial from one place to another.
