I finished my period on the 10th February, me and my boyfriend had unprotected sex on the 17th, 18th and 19th of February, 6 times in total. Recently I've been getting really tired easy and sleeping for hours, feeling very sick, very bloated and every time I have a cigarette it makes me feel dizzy and gagging (also, if I am pregnant I will be giving up smoking!) We had sex the normal way with him on top, I lifted my body up too put my panties back on and I stayed lying down for about half an hour - I've been told this increases the chances of getting pregnant? Anyway, I have a feeling that I'm pregnant, but because it's only been a week I'm worried I only feel like this because I want too be pregnant? Do mums just know they are pregnant, even before they can do a test?

yes sometimes they do but however your body usually doesn't show signs of being pregnant until about 3-4 weeks after you have been pregnant. it can take up to 7-10 days for the egg to burrow and sometimes you will see a bloody show when that happens...you can get the answer pregnancy test in about 2 weeks to let you know for sure, i took one 3 weeks after and i went to the doc 2 weeks after that and i found out i was 5 weeks pregnant. those pregnancy tests really detect it early...i was trying because i had lost a baby the september before that, yes laying down does help but i would really suggest to stop trying so hard, just be romantic and enjoy the time you have together and it will happen, if it's not this time don't worry. it took my husband and i 3 years to get pregnant when we started trying. i was to the point i was asking my sister to be a surrogate for us then i found out we were pregnant with our first child about 3 weeks later. i was 4 months pregnant the first time i found out. you are seeing these reactions now because you really want to be. your body can actually do what they call a false pregnancy and your stomach will get bigger and bigger and you can actually miss periods because of it. the best time to concieve is the 12th 14th and 16th day of your period. the first day being the day you actually start. so when you see blood for your period start counting the days. don't have sex 3 days before your 12th day. no more than 3 days because men actually absorb it back into them after that...this works if you have a regular 28 day cycles. i hope this helps! good luck
